課程概述	本課程討論臺灣民俗與文化，並牽涉到部分數術，尤其是風水研究。臺灣民俗文化的內容包含甚廣，本課程抽取其中較為重要的主題來討論，包括歲時節令、生命禮俗、寺廟鬼神、風水等等。本課程上課方式包括兩部分，一部份由本人介紹各主題的基本概念與實際的發展狀況(譬如風水的基本概念與操作)，另一部份研讀國內外學者在這領域的研究著作。此處主要列出英文部分，中文讀物將在上課前補充增加。
課程目標	本課程旨在使學生瞭解臺灣民俗文化，並使學生掌握國內外學者(尤其是西方人類學家)的臺灣研究。
課程要求	本課程以口頭講述與讀物討論並重，因此特別要求上課之參與討論。評量方式口頭報告20％上課參與討論20％期中報告30％期末報告30％
